The housework never ends and no matter how much time you spend and how fast you are. Even if you get help from all the family members and you don’t go to work. I have no idea how our mothers and grandmothers have managed to cope with everything.
And, keep in mind they didn’t have all the technology we do like a washing machine, a dryer not to mention the dish-washing machine.
Of course, there are some cheats you can use in order to save some time and get some sleep.
Here are a few tips how to save time while cleaning
We’ll start with the laundry. I assume you like many other people divide the clothes into many categories: delicate and wool, light and dark coloured, etc. By doing this you only increase the time you’ll be spending in the laundry room. And, there is no guarantee that the lovely yellow T-shirt you like so much won’t be taint by the blue shirt of your husband. The result is more than obvious you’ll have a brand new green T-shirt.
The solution is to divide the clothes by colour, but have you ever thought how many colours are there? Imagine you do it, what will happen if indigo blue is mixed with light blue? Forget about this and go the easy way. Whenever you purchase a new piece of clothing, soak it into a bucket to see if it bleeds colour. There are special sheets that are used to absorb the bleeding colours, so your clothes aren’t taint. That way you can divide the clothes into light and dark.
If you don’t have a dryer, I recommend that you leave the clothes outside to dry naturally under the sun. To reduce the time spend on ironing hand them as soon as the washing machine is done. That way there will be less wrinkles.
Next are the dishes. If you don’t have a washing machine, a lot of work awaits you. Here is a tip on how to save some time: don’t put them in the cupboard. Instead, leave them on the draining rack and whenever you need something, take it directly from there.
Get some help from your kids
It is important to avoid drag the cleaning chores for long because they pile up and you’ll end up with no spare time at all. You can get help from your children. The trick is to show them cleaning can be fun. As you know, children love to play with water and washing the dishes or cleaning the bathroom can become their favorite experience. Of course, don’t expect that the work will be done perfectly. After all, they’re just kids, but their help surely will ease you a lot.
Another thing they may like to do is vacuum the carpet or mop the floor, especially if you purchase special cleaning slippers. In the worst case scenario you’ll have to do all the work by yourself – or not.
If you want to spend more time with your family and still have your home cleaned hire a cleaning company. There are many offering favorable deals and package services.
