I really get attached to my belongings and I’m sure most of you are. The problem is I also like to purchase new stuff. Unfortunately, I live in a small apartment, where isn’t enough space for all my belongings. Fortunately, I found out a way to satisfy both my obsessions and it’s called reuse.
If you’re wondering what I’m talking about, read the next few lines and you’ll find useful tips on how to give your old stuff new life. As I told you, I used to have a lot of stuff and no place to put it. There was time where my home looked like storage, but things are different now.
Instead of throwing away old stuff reuse it
You don’t have to throw away tin cans. They can be very useful. You can put pencils, scissors and a bunch of other things inside. Just make sure they are cleaned properly. Of course, they’re not pretty, but you can make wonders with a little glue and wrapping paper. You can also write motivational quotes on the cans, if you like.
If you have a lot of sunglasses or scarves, there is a way to arrange them so you that you always find the one you need at this moment. All you need is a wooden plank and a thick cord or a coloured cable. Nail the plank and the cable as you leave the cable a little loosen. There you have the perfect handler for accessories and even clothes.
Continuing with the accessories more specifically scarves, if you have a lot like a friend of mine I recommend that you place them all together on display. Using a shower rod you can make a colourful curtain.
Arrange your notebook
Transform your all-purpose notebook into an organized place. Glue envelopes to some sheets and place the little notes and recipes there. Make sure you label them and eventually copy them on the notebook.
For all the hairpins, nail clippers, tweezers, etc. which we constantly lose, there is a solution – magnetic plank.
If you have a spare sushi mat it can become a new place for your make up brushes. All you need is elastic stripe which you have to move throw the sticks. You place your brushes inside and you’re ready – fast and easy.
If you have many cables, use bread tags to label them all. That way you’ll unplug the right one from the first time.
It’s all about the shoes
Every woman has a lot of pairs of them and the truth is, they’re never enough. I’m sure all of you, ladies, have at least one pair of shoes that you never wear because they are uncomfortable, but you like having them. I would like to give you some tips on how to storage and maintain your valuable shoes.
We’ll start with the boots and the constant struggle to keep them in good shape. If you want to save some money on boot stuffer because they’re expensive, I have the perfect solution. Purchase some pool noodles and cut them a little longer than the height of your boot, place them inside and there you have it.
Make sure to place a bag on top of them to keep them clean. Another option is to place them inside a wine box. When you pack your bags and you want to put shoes in use a shower cap, no dirt will go on the clothes and your briefcase will stay clean.
When it comes to clothes, I have one rule: if I haven’t worn a dress or a T-shirt for more than a year, I donate it. There’s no need to keep old stuff in my place. Someone else needs it more.
I hope my ideas will help you find the right place for all your valuable belongings. How do you storage your items? If you find this article useful, feel free to share it with your friends!
